We chose bamboo for Never Worry Wipes because it’s not just sustainable—it’s a game-changer for baby care. Bamboo grows rapidly, often up to three feet in a single day, requires minimal water, needs no fertilizers, and regrows naturally after harvesting—making it one of the planet’s most renewable resources. Life cycle assessments show that baby wipes made from this tree-free bamboo, produced in China and shipped to North America, often have a carbon footprint up to three times lower than those made from traditional tree pulp, even accounting for ocean shipping.

Beyond its eco-credentials, bamboo is a natural fit for baby wipes: its fibers are exceptionally soft yet strong, offering a gentle touch for sensitive skin while holding up to the messiest moments. Bamboo is also naturally hypoallergenic and antibacterial, reducing the risk of irritation for your little one.

Bamboo is grown in the U.S., particularly in the Southeast, but the U.S. lacks the facilities to process it into fiber for products like ours. Most bamboo fiber is processed in Asia, especially China, where the infrastructure and lower costs make it more economical. U.S. bamboo farms often focus on timber, edible shoots, or construction materials rather than textile fiber, and there’s concern about the invasiveness of non-native bamboo species, which limits cultivation scale.We’re committed to sustainability and are exploring ways to source more materials locally as domestic processing improves.

Our wipes do not go through a bleaching process. The color of the bamboo fiber comes from the lignin content in the bamboo itself. The depth of the color depends on the amount of lignin present. There are no bleaching agents or dyes used. You may notice that our wipes vary slightly in color from batch to batch, this is because every bamboo stalk is a unique color.

For years, most conventional baby wipes were made with chlorinated bleach to achieve their bright white look, a process that reacts with organic materials like wood pulp or synthetic fibers to produce dioxins. These highly toxic compounds, classified as persistent organic pollutants, linger in the environment and can pose risks to sensitive skin, including potential irritation or long-term health concerns. In recent times, as awareness of bleach’s impact on both babies and the planet has grown, some baby wipe manufacturers have adopted an Elemental Chlorine Free (ECF) process. While an improvement over traditional methods, ECF still relies on chlorine derivatives, which can generate trace amounts of dioxins that may end up in waterways and, indirectly, on your baby’s skin. That’s why we chose to create Never Worry Wipes using a Totally Chlorine Free (TCF) approach, ensuring no chlorine-based chemicals touch our unbleached bamboo fibers.

Additionally, some conventional baby wipes have historically incorporated formaldehyde-releasing preservatives—chemicals like DMDM Hydantoin or Bronopol that break down over time to release formaldehyde—a known skin irritant and potential carcinogen according to health authorities. While many brands have phased out these preservatives, studies as recent as 2019 found that nearly one-quarter of baby wipes still released formaldehyde, often without clear disclosure on labels. Never Worry Wipes contain zero formaldehyde-releasing preservatives, offering a pure, customizable solution you can trust. By avoiding these harmful substances, we’re not just making wipes—we’re protecting the ones you love most, naturally and responsibly.

Never Worry Wipes offer a safer, more customizable option for your baby’s sensitive skin. You control what goes on them. By using them dry, with a spray bottle of your own solution or wetting in warm water before use, the options that you control are endless.
